What began as a formulaic yet charming Rain Man meets Drive crime thriller unfortunately collapses under its own clumsy writing in the last act.

I didn't mind the fanfiction-level character of Leo. A blue collar worker; a tattood, and muscled bad boy. But also sensitive, highly educated in the music arts, and with a singular flaw/disability that makes him just that bit more attractive. Autistic-coded but not to a debilitating degree.

But then he gives his girlfriend of 4 weeks a stolen rolex with an engraving, which just so happens to be a Holocaust remnant belonging to another major character? Gets his ear ruptured trying to retrieve it (somehow successfully, by virtue of Jewish solidarity or something?), and is left clinically deaf, but still capable of performing as a virtuoso despite abandoning his piano ambitions after his diagnosis at the age of 7, and capable of identifying an out of tune note?
